Kotomichan (CAN)

Great Marbling Meat Quality. By Tanifuku Doi 1606 (JAP) and “Mitsutaka (IMP JAP)”

Born on July 17, 1999 in the USA.

Kotomichan was born on July 17, 1999 and was purchased from WKS Group. She was to be one of their foundation donors for the next generation of animals being produced in WKS Australia. She is the only female outside of Japan sired by the Japanese Legend, “Tanifuku Doi 1606 (IMP JAP)”.

Her Sire, “Tanifuku Doi” is said to have his blood in over 50% of all Japanese A.I. sires today. “Tanifuku Doi” (BMS 3.2 and REA 46 cm2) hails from the famous Hyogo cow family known as “Kikusturu” – being a direct son from this famous cow.

Her Dam, “Mitsutaka (IMP JAP)” is sired by “Mitsufuku”.  Dam of eleven sires currently in active stud.

Mitsufuku was proven by the LIAJ and is perhaps one of the most important sires in Japan today. His official proof was 0.83 kg, BMS 3.3, and REA of 47 cm2. “Mitsufuku” is from a famous Tajima maternal line known as “Mitsufuku Sen”.

This maternal line reads as the “Who’s Who” of the Wagyu Breed and originates from the matriarch cow, “Mitsufuku”. This cow produced 15 natural calves in her lifetime. Famous sires, “Terunaga Doi”, “Fukutomi”, “Yasuyuki Doi”, “Mitsutaka”, “Terukami Doi”, “Kamifuku” and even “Terutani” originate from this maternal line.

Her second dam, “Takami” was classified Kurokou at 80.7 and is sired by Kedaka sire, “Kenryu” – DG 1.05 kg, BMS 2.7, and REA of 48 cm2.

Kotomichan (CAN) has produced embryos by the great “Michifuku (IMP JAP)” that have been born in Australia in 2013.

Big things are expected from Kotomichan (CAN).
