Rikitani (IMP JAP)
Born on January 13, 1992 in Miyagi Prefecture. By Tanishige (JAP) and Shigekane (JAP)
Her Sire, “Tanishige (JAP)” was proven by Livestock Improvement Association of Japan (LIAJ) and his official proof done by the National Association of Registered Wagyu was DG 0.92 kg, BMS 3.1, and Ribeye Area of 41 cm2.
“Tanishigeʼs (JAP)” maternal line has been well proven and has produced numerous sons in Japan. The most recent success being “Tsurumaru Doi (JAP)”.
Her Dam, “Shigekane (JAP)” was classified at the highest level of Kurokou @ 80.2 and is sired by the great “Shigeshigenami (JAP)” – DG 0.79 kg, BMS +3.3 and REA of 46 cm2.
The registration of “Kurokou” is a high performance registry, animals must meet a number of select criteria and must exhibit superior reproductive performance.
Her Grand Dam, “Nishino 179 (JAP)” was also classified Kurokou @ 79.5 and was sired by “Yasumikane (JAP)” – DG 0.76 kg, BMS +3.0, and REA of 49 cm2.
“Rikitani (IMP JAP)” was not a very prolific flush cow and has produced very few progeny.
Female progeny are very scarce from this female line, however the BMS from slaughtered progeny here have been second to none and maybe better than animals from the “Suzutani Family”.
We have her Haruki 2 (IMP JAP) daughter “Rikiharu (CAN)” FB10973 – this animal is the first Fullblood Wagyu born outside of Japan. Alive and on an IVF program.
